JAMES E. RUSSELL

Chief Operating and Chief Compliance Officer

Jim has a 38 year career in the investment industry.

Prior to joining Welch & Forbes in 2000, he was Senior Vice President and Treasurer, MFS Investment Management. Jim is the Chairman of the Executive Committee, and sits on the Valuation Committee and the Brokerage Committee.

A graduate of Boston University, Jim received his MBA from F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
