Investment Review - February 2026
- The equity markets have been rocky in early 2026, ultimately posting positive gains in the S&P 500 of 1.4%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average of 1.7%, and the Nasdaq of 0.9%.
- At the close of 2025, the Magnificent 7 stocks account for over 34% of the holdings in the S&P 500 and have produced outsized returns as a group since the pandemic. The start of 2026 has seen dislocation among these behemoths, some beginning the year fast with positive earnings reports, while others have faltered. A one-month sample size is quite small, but we are following this topic closely.
