Financial Advisor Magazine’s annual list of RIA Rankings is based on assets under management as of 12/31/2025 reported by independent registered investment advisors as reported through the publication’s survey and reviewed by Financial Advisor Magazine against SEC Form ADV filings. Eligible firms must file their own ADV with the SEC, provide financial planning and related services to individual clients, and cannot be hybrid RIAs, corporate RIAs, or investment advisor representatives. Firms with at least $1 billion in AUM as of December 31, 2025, are included in the print ranking, while firms below $1 billion appear in the expanded online survey.
Welch & Forbes did not pay to be included in the survey and voluntarily completed the FA Annual RIA Survey. Financial Advisor Magazine’s RIA Ranking is based solely on assets under management reported by participating firms and does not reflect investment performance, advisory quality, or client experience.
