Investment Review - August 2025

  1. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq indices closed just off of record all-time highs during the month of July. During the month, the S&P 500 gained 2.2%, the Nasdaq Composite gained 3.7%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.8%.

  2. U.S. treasury yields were mixed in July with the 10-year yield rising 16 basis points (0.16%) to 4.39%, while the 2-year yield was nearly unchanged at 3.72%. Higher inflation rates may have pushed the long-dated bond yields higher as investors seek compensation for erosion of purchasing power.
