Investment Review - March 2026

  1. In February, the S&P 500 Index was down ~1%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average was flat on mixed performance and increased volatility, especially during the latter part of the month, related to higher than anticipated inflation data and AI disruption fears.

  2. The Nasdaq Composite decreased 3.3% during the month of February, the third negative month in the past four for the Technology heavy index. The volatility was driven by an increased anxiety over AI disruption and Technology company valuations.

  3. U.S. Treasury bond yields fell a bit in February on safe-haven demand, but rose slightly toward the end of the month on oil price inflation fears following geopolitical events.
